I clicked on nutjob.eu in my bookmarks last night to watch the Man United game, and got this. Anybody else come across it.
Watched it on cricfree.tv without a problem.

Hmmm ...   Interesting.  How is cricfree.tv still operating. Surely the police must have it in their sites.

Wow Nutjob, used to use this site kind of knew him too, I believe he's lives in the UK hence why the UK police force have their hands on the domain.
Normally sports sites are seized by ICE in the states, for example atdhe.net was then the biggest sports streaming website got done a few years back, but although the US can seize some websites with domains ending in .com .net .org and several others, they have little control or say over .eu
ICE haven't been that successful in arresting and charging people over it either, only 1 person (That lived int he US) got arrested back when they did a mass cull of sports sites a few years ago.
They also have tried and failed on many occasions to get Rojadirecta taken down which is a Spanish site which I also believe they have been to court in Spain and allowed to carry on what they are doing.

This is the first time I have seen the UK take on a sport streaming site.

I think the owner of cricfree lives outside of Europe and the States.
His servers are probably based in Sweden (which have very relaxed copyright laws) and a .tv domain belongs to an island called Tuvalu, I believe also that they don't care much for copyright content lol

If all those circumstances are correct then that makes the owner difficult to get hold of by police forces wanting to take down the site.

I don´t know about domains a lot of things but you mentioned athde and there is another atdhe.eu

Same thing with nutjob you got sites like nutjob.net  already ..so i think this police actions haven´t some large impact...

You're 100% right.
Atdhe though was a victim of it's own success though when it got taken down, many "other" replica sites cropped up and no one was really sure which one was the real one, and Twitter wasn't as big as it is now so the real owners couldn't get the message across as to what site was theirs.
One was atdhe.ws which was fake but fooled many users it was the legit one, the real atdhe lost alot of traffic.
Nutjob might be a bit easier to identify as I know back in the day he used to have a live chat on site, hopefully thats still the case as you can easily work out if the site is real or not..
