Hi, does anyone know of any naturist accomodation apart from Infiniti on the island and I am not asking for a swingers hotel, just somewhere that you can go naked.
Or even a small villa that can be rented?

Don Luis Bungalows in Corralejo. Right in town, but private. Still being advertised as naturist friendly. Many agents have them listed, but not all of them say naturist.
Each unit has a roof terrace.
Tip - book number 5 - it overlooks the pool.

I have been naked 24/7 at Maravilla apartments in El Cotillo without problems and as a bonus they are right on the C-O lagoon beaches so you don't even need to dress to go to the beach.
The downside is that they are somewhat basic for the price but as far as I am concerned that is more than compensated for by the cleanliness and position.

I always book a VILLA PLUS holiday.
You have your own pool and can be naked all day.
I have also rented a JAMES VILLA and they have a pool and was nude all day.

Maybe it's because  naturist's accommodation is niche market.   By becoming niche you limit the amount of possible booking's therefore less bookings,  Less booking's equal's charge more.  Only a theory.

More likely simply because naturists are prepared to pay a premium to get specialist naturist accommodation.
In the case of suitable villas the premium will often be lower because they are also selling into the general market.
In practice I have sometimes rented naturist friendly apartments at a lower price than is paid for other accommodation in the area.

Understand about there being a limited market but is that justification . We would go to alot of places other than El Caleton around the world but wanting nude bathing facilities only seems to attract too much of a premium , so hence we continue to go to El Caleton which is not naturist but is so near the beach it virtually is . The other ones near the beaches in Cotillo are similarly priced too. We would like to go to La Jenny in SW France where the accommodation is nothing like El Caletons and costs twice as much for a similar size/facilities . Now it does include the swimming pool and other attractions which we are not really interested in , like nude golf ! The prices are astronomic really for glorified sheds    Its something like 1000euros a week for a place for 4 like a Fauvette/Colibri in June/July/August

Have you compared the El Caleton prices with apartments at Vera Playa?  I'd have thought they're quite similar pricing.  VP has a nice beach, naturist beach bars, naturist streets, you can be nude 24/7 if you want.

Mainland Spain does not appeal as our previous holiday times were in march and sept/oct . With me finishing work soon (17 working days ) we may try Vera Playa

If anyone wants somewhere to stay a bit closer to home at a reasonable price have a look at www.pevorsfarm.co.uk     Highly recommended, no price increase for school holidays and with so much indoors, you can find an alternative to the rain!! Just back from the island. Our stay included a week at the Don Luis apartments. It is still naturist anywhere on the complex. It is managed by Lazydays Holidays who also have a few other villas that they advertise as naturist friendly

From your many posts it appears you have had the opportunity to visit several clothing optional locations in Fuerteventura. Some more expensive than others. Do you have a particular favorite or are there areas of the island that appeal to you more than others? For example, one of your sites in Corralejo and another is in El Cotillo. Some are expensive while others are "rustic." What criteria do you use to decide a location? My criteria are to maximize avoiding clothing, being near a beach, good dining and wine and to spend less on sleeping arrangements if I'm going to away from my room most of the time. Recommendations, please.

We went last year and found it rather depressing.  Quiet, certainly, but no beach, one scruffy mini-market, one iffy "pub-restaurant" and another dismal-looking restaurant. Never again.

Not exactly naturist, but we went to the VIK Risco del Gato suite hotel in Costa Calma last month, and were very pleased.  Each suite has a totally private gated courtyard with 2 sunloungers and an outdoor shower - ideal for naked sunbathing.  It's right next to the room, so easy access to the fridge, music, etc.  And it's only about a 10 minute drive to the fabulous Sotavento beaches, where you can wander naked for miles.

A very difficult set of questions for me to answer, but I'll have a go.

Firstly, I have never been to the south of the island as I don't fancy the sort of purpose built resort that the holiday brochures advertise.

I like the slightly more expensive naturist accommodation like Infiniti where I can be naked 24/7 without leaving the premises but are also within easy walking distance of all the restaurants and other entertainment of Corralejo.
I also like El Cotillo for its laid back atmosphere and the ability to find apartments where you can go from bed to sea without clothing.
For this reason we usually split our time between these two venues staying a week or more in each.

In El Cotillo I have already mentioned Maravilla, where we have stayed twice and booked for my next visit but I have also stayed in El Balcon and Los Crotos several times. In both cases I was able to walk naked to the beach from our apartment.
The El Balcon, Cotillo Lagos, Cotillo Sunset and El Caleton blocks are all directly on the naturist beach but  many others are only a few yards back and only a towel round the waist would be needed to walk from any of the accommodation north of the village itself.
For economy I would suggest that you google "el cotillo apartments fuerteventura" and take your pick between beach proximity and price.

I have seen the pictures of these wonderful beaches and they do not attract me at all.
If I went there I would probably spend almost all my time elsewhere.

Your experience appears to be consistent with other information I have gleamed from the internet. Yes it would be nice to be in a naturist town, but being able to select from more than one dining establishment is somewhat important, for me.  Others may have other opinions. Indeed for a friend of mine, his idea of heaven is Puertito De Los Molinos on the west side of the rock.

For me JG, if there were a Maravilla in the south, I would pay more. However, while the beaches of Jandia and Esquinzo are delightful, I am in agreement that the development of Costa Calma and this area is a complete turn off. 

Returning to your comments - the inclusive 24/7 naturist sites sounds appealing. I may consider them next time since we stay in naturist setting here in California.  As for El Cotillo, the laid back environment is grand, but I wonder how comfortable people would be if I were clothing free while at some of the other places. El Bacon wasn't bad, but I'm less sure about Cotillo Lagos and especially Cotillo Sunset (El Caleton is so crowded and booked, it really isn't an option.)

Have you tried an apartment in Vera Playa?  That's close to 24/7 naturist.

You say "apart from Infiniti": I imagine that's because you already know it, rather than it doesn't interest you? It's a great place though rather small so inclined to be a bit claustrophobic, IMHO. But there's now an alternative just a stone's throw from Infiniti. What used to be the Caleta Del Mar, the last place before the start of Flag Beach, is now the Gran Hotel Natura. We haven't found a moment to go over and check it out personally since it opened at the start of the month, but it has got its first Trip Advisor review now. From the reviews in both places, two things are clear (1) it's appreciated, and (2) there are a lot of Dutch visitors, as usual with naturist accommodation.

We have been to El Caleton about Fifteen times , never has it been crowded ! Where do you get that description from ? As far as booked we have never not got what we wanted , if you book far enough ahead .
We have just returned from there on Monday and while we were there there were several apartments empty .

Glad you have been happy at El Caleton. Your comment, "if you book far enough ahead" is the condition that has not worked out for me. Sadly, I rarely can plan for an opening in my schedule to fly across the pond. Most my trips are done on a whim.

The last time I was on the island, a couple members of the cooperative  that own and run the building (sorry, I don't remember what word they used) were commenting about how high the occupation rate is - nearly the entire year. 

I agree I should not have used the term, "crowded". Indeed, El Caleton is NEVER crowded. It is impressive how quiet the place is given how many apartments are occupied.
