I'll have to get the combi boiler serviced then and bleed all the radiators I suppose. Anyone know of a Corgi registered plumber? Can anyone remember how deep the insulation has to be in the loft? What temperature should I set the thermostat to on the central heating? Oh, this one has got me all flustered now.  :-* :P 8) ;D ;)

In Fuerteventura would you be keeping the heat in or keeping it out. Think air conditioning.

They've been around in France for a few years, together with compulsory certificates relating to asbestos, termites, lead piping, ... All those can actually enable buyers to pull out of the purchase, whereas the energy efficiency is just information.  If you're renting, the place has to satisfy safety tests for electricity and gas, have enough smoke detectors, etc.

All part of life's rich tapestry. ??? :(

Well I do know (experience in the UK) that these certificates are just  to let you know what your energy performance is.  There is no obligation (YET) to bring your property up to a higher level.

Yes folks yet another bright idea from those underemployed half wits in Brussels la la land.....You have to have one in the UK before you can sell the property. sold a house a while back to a mate who was developing it, ripping everything out and was replacing it. Then my brief, of all people, demanded we get one of these silly Brussels notice thingys, which was hilarious, by the time the over expensive clipboard arrived, all the boilers, fires and central heating had been gutted and put in a skip...

We had to pay and the buyer used it for toilet paper >:( >:( >:(
