Anyone Got A Satellite Update?

I only use my satellite for Judge Judy - can my box be re-tuned now to get more English speaking progs. (1.2m dish) or is it still too early?

In simple terms, it is to early. 

The channels that have 'disappeared' will not reappear, if at all, until Astra 2E satellite is up and operational, expected to be in the summer.
Hopefully, most, if not all of the lost channels, with the exception of BBC, ITV, CH4 and 5, will return.
It depends on the footprint of the new satellite and which channels are broadcast on it's Pan European beam.
With the new satellites UK beams,  you are likely to need a huge dish, 4m ish to get them. Those with a 1.9m could only get UK telly when it was on a 'temporary' satellite so may now have a nice Paella dish.
There are reports from Tenerife from a couple of people with a 2.7m and 3.0m high quality dishes who can get 'UK' TV but not 24/7.
It also seems the signal is stronger in the western isles so not very promising for us.
