Hi there.  Property management services can do as much or as little as you want them to.  They can let the property on your behalf, or simple take care of the property making sure it is tip tpop condition for the arrival of your guests, family or friends for their vacation.

Generally, when unlet, they will check on your villa, apartment or house on a weekly basis, making sure that it has not been broken into, that the gardens are clean, tidy and well maintained, That everything in the home is correct and nothing has broken down, taking the necessary measure for repairs, avoiding water damage etc etc etc.   On a yearly basis ( or when needed) organise the re-painting of the internal walls (TO owners cost).  Make sure all windows, terraces and pool (if any) or kept clean.  Where a pool and spa is installed, make sure the correct chemicals and maintenance program is in place and checking it is adhered to.  For the arrival of your guests, the inside of the home is clean, the F/freezer has been defrosted and cleaned etc etc etc, all bed have clean linen on and sufficient towels for the guests during they stay.  If required a mid-stay clean and change of all linen.  Orangise cleaning and ironing of your linen and keeping the villa/apartment to a high standard for your guests to enjoy and be on hand for any problems or help your guest may require/
