Is there such a thing? Have heard that there is one at the newer Centro Salud in PDR - can anyone confirm this please? TIA.

There is a thing they call Uregencias in Puerto, where they will see you almost immediately, obviously depending on demand, which I believe is open 7 days, whether it is 24/7 I do not know

Thanks John, any idea where?

Just to confirm, the "Urgencias" department is in the same building as the (new) Centro Salud 2. Although it looked busy today, I was in and out within 40mins, prescription in hand, having seen Triage and a doctor, following a urine test.
All in all, very efficient - and friendly staff. Not an issue for me but none of them seemed to speak English - so if you need to use this facility, you may wish to take along an interperator.

I think it depends when you go, very much the luck of the draw, I know at least one of the Doctors a woman Elsa and at least two of the nurses speak English
