Not sure what you call the equivalent but I have just painted our outside walls. The paint pots in “ideal” in PDR are all marked for interior or exterior & in my view the paint coverage is excellent, much better than the cr*p we can get in the UK. It`s more expensive I think, 45â,¬ for 15ltr bucket but did 25mts of 2mtr high outside walls with one coat & half that tub plus double coats on dodgy bits, so all good. If you just want white emulsion it is in the Chinese shops for about 10â,¬ for 5lts & also good coverage. Get a paint stirrer though as it is v thick & settles. HTH, cheers . . Ron

You could try the big paint shop just along from Ikea. They have an amazing range of all kinds of paint that I have not seen elsewhere on the Island. I have used a paint on woodwork with a satin finish ( "Pintura Satinada" in Spanish), which has a very light sheen to it, but not sure if they sell it in large tubs for walls.  It is quite expensive.

Just found an internet link all about satin paint for walls - it's in Spanish but you could put it through a translator if necessary, but it seems to be a good equivalent to vinyl silk.

The paint shop I mentioned may well do it or an equivalent.

I too would like Emmi to recommend Monto, the paint shop two up from Ikea, not cheap but very good quality, and excellent range, they will also mix colours as required, there are two types Elastico and Plastico, one ie water resistant ( can be wiped down ) and the other isn,t, unfortunately, I can never remember which is which: ::)

One of the salespeople speaks some English at Monto. Don't know how well, as I always get by with my  fractured Spanish.!!

Re Ideal. Pintura plastica is used for walls and is the equivalent to vinyl matt or vinyl silk  I used pintura plastica for repainting my apartment but it was blanca mate ( white matt).  You would look for something like "pintura plastica satinado + colour".  eg if white "pintura plastica satinada blanca"

vinyl silk will show every dip bump in a wall. when light shines on it
