Thanks for the great reply. As well as answering my enquiry it seems there is a notice board and hairdressers that I have never seen. Must need to go to Specsavers or spend more time out there exploring !

no problem. Not many british on this manzana so welcome

Hairdresser?
I didn't think that residencial properties on Tamaragua were licensed to run a business. You learn something new every day.

There are a lot of things a lot of people do not know about Tamaragua, just goes to show all you have to do is ask, and with Dave and a lot others will try and answer, it's never to much trouble. :)

Is Tamaragua the same place as La Capellania please? I have been looking at some villas advertised there and I'm a bit confused.

Basically, yes. It is at the far end and at the back of the 'estate' from Corralejo.
Regards, Neil
Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

Yes it is, and have to get in quick as property here is going sky high

Thanks. I assume you mean to buy. I'm only looking at villa rentals.Assume they will stay more or less the same.

Thanks Malabu.
I actually know quite a lot about Tamaragua, having bought a property there 12 years ago.
If I remember (things may have changed) there were caveats placed on the properties such as no building extensions, maximum wall heights etc. and that the properties could not be used to run a business. These were also included in the statutes of some of the original manzana communities.
I was only asking if this had all changed.
Many thanks
Chris

Hi Chris we have owned on here since 2003 and lived here for the last 10 wonderful years, lots of things have changed in the last few years, many for the good, but like every where some not so good, some Manzanas a lot better than others depends where you are, but at the end of the day i know where i would rather be here or the UK, HERE WITHOUT ANY DOUBT, but i will add that is purely a personal preference, sure there will be a lot of differing views,

chrisandco

I totally agree that it is a great place to live and work.
I am still asking if the licences have been relaxed to allow commercial businesses in the residential properties. You never know, we could open a greengrocers next door!!

malabu

Ha Ha  ;) we have no problem with that, but back to the posts, there are one or two businesses are being run from home but you could count them on one hand, thats probably why know one bothers them even though they operate without a licence, but having said that i am sure if it turned out to be a nuisance the old bill would soon be told about it, so providing it not interfering then i don't see any problem, but there again i am only an individual, would the veg be fresh ?
