Dug 300kg of Fuerteventura grown potatoes up, at the weekend which is too much for us to eat.

Anyone want some...20kg for 25e; 25kg for 30e. Delivered from Caleta to Corralejo. Type - Galactica.

Spar sell the local ones for 1,60e per kilo. Their ones are very bad quality - machine picked so lots of cuts. Ours are hand picked and perfect condition.

The money helps cover the water costs, most definitely not the labour! I don't provide invoices, lol.

Would give to charity except they are all run by religous groups, which is an issue.

Though most charities may be ran by religious groups not all the volunteers are religious and certainly not the people receiving help from the groups.  Maybe it would be nice if you could reconsider giving some to the charities to give out to those in need.

It's not as straight forward to give food to charity as you might think.

Believe it or not, they really only accept food already packaged. In other words the policy here seems to be that donations are accepted from products bought off the self in the supermarket.

I would probably need to prove that my potatoes are edible, etc. Possibly needing a food handling cert. and possibly a cert. giving me permission for production and distribution of same.

I'm a foreigner, so would be forced to follow the rules. Majoreros can do what they want.

I sometime take food down to Caritas that I have made in corralejo and they take it and distribute it to those in need.  They sometimes also get fruit or veg from one of the local shops I believe after its past its best which they distribute too.  But they only open on a Wednesday morning.
