PICKPOCKETS

There is a group of (eastern european?) (gypsy?) thieves / pickpockets active on the island.
They had a field day on the Corralejo beaches.

This is a way of life for Romanians. To them it's normal, and don't see it as a crime.
Before all the do-gooders jump on me, I lived in Eastern Europe for 8 years, I've seen it first hand.
They should never have been allowed into the EU.

Doubt they would have had much opportunity on the nudest bits 

  Realistically pick pockets, in their true sense, only operate in crowded areas. Such is the nature of their `work`. On the other hand opportunist thieves wonder anywhere looking for their `opportunity`. There is a difference between the two, the latter being much easier to deter.
