After the recent rains I have noticed damp on the bedroom ceiling.I can only assume that the roof terrace needs to be re grouted and sealed.Any ideas?

Yes, close your eyes and go to sleep when you go to bed.   ;D

Seriously though, it may not be leaking through where the damp patch is depending on the construction of your ceiling/roof.
If you have a row of vertical tiles around the perimeter of your terrace I would check the grout at the bottom of those first.

Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

As deso said problem may not be directly above the damp patch.  We thought we knew where our damp was coming from but were wrong.  We have a tiled roof patio and after Filling the small gap at the bottom of the skirting tiles on the roof patio for now we seem to have solved the problem.

Billington, ALL flat roofs in Fuerteventura leak when it rains. It's the number two building materials, and the way they build them that's to blame. When I was younger I was an apprentice Architectural Draughtsman, so I know all about flat roofs, and how they should be built.

Did you ever see a flat roof like this over here. No.
Lead flashing. No.
Limestone chippings to reflect the sun's heat. No.

All you can do is Rubber compound paint it every couple of years.

Don,t know why it is but i have noticed they never seem to use the chippings on flat roofs nowadays.
