Without a shadow of doubt! I had the early symptoms of the rheumatoid arthritis which has badly affected my Mum four years ago, moved here three years ago and it had halted in its tracks....finger crossed it will remain dormant!

I have arthritis in both knees, everytime I go away (abroad) the pain goes away... remedy I need to move to a hotter climate..

Or maybe, when people move here, they engage in more exercise without realising it!

It's fairly common knowledge, that regular joint movement (particularly knees) stops them from seizing up. In turn this stops any associated pain.

But on the other hand sometimes too much exercise can cause osteoarthritis, the wearing down of the protective substance within joints.

Can't win either way.

I agree with Tamara. The arthritis in my knees flares up from time to time. Last winter it started when I went to Sri Lanka...
