3 Network inclusive mins,texts and data

Does anyone know if the 3 Network works in Fuerte.. I'm thinking of getting my son a sim only deal to use so I can keep in touch with him during our holiday. Apparently you can use your inclusive allowances whilst abroad at no extra cost but wondered if anyone else uses 3

I've used them. Seem to recall they roamed onto Orange by default. Appear to do traffic shaping, so nowhere near as fast as it could be and no 4G (last year anyway). Also, max 3 months if you are staying for an extended time.

I guess if you are after voice/texts, OK. Data - get a local SIM.

I was with 3 when I was in Fuerte last July and my phone worked perfectly fine. I also made phone calls home which came out of my allowance, so didn't cost anything at all x

3 also do a 12GB data only payg sim valid for 12 months for £30 that works from Fuerte. It was good value when it was £70 but they have just reduced the price dramatically. Great value if you are a regular visitor and don't use video. They don't advertise it much and it is only available online, not in the shops.
