Translated from Canarias7.

A man 65 years of age and Polish origin, has died after drowning at a beach in Cofete, Fuerteventura, according to the Emergency Coordinator and Security Center 112.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon on the beach of Cofete,

Until the arrival of medical helicopter of the SUC, a person who identified himself as a doctor at the scene found that the man was in cardiopulmonary arrest and underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Later, the helicopter landed on the beach and staff SUC advanced maneuvers continued CPR without results, so it could only confirm his death.

Magoo

Hardly surprising. We went to Cofete on our last trip & several people where swimming. Never seen so many people there, no doubt due to Riddly Scott and the new bus service.

What people are NOT informed though, is that Cofete Beach is the most dangerous on the Island.

The force of 3800 miles of Atlantic Ocean is behind those waves.
