Finally we know how many partys we will have during the next elections. Nothing less then 9 ( yes nine) . In the municipilaty of Antigua there are more or less 5500 people who are allowed to vote ( Senso electoral)  we will be voting for 17 councilers. So the mayority will need 9 or more councillers. Every party will have 17 names you can vote. But you cannot vote for a certain person. Number 1, 2, or3on the lists are the most important ones. Because untill now nobody did nothing for our coast zone it is incredible importsnt you all Vote, please Vote . So we can have more voice and power. Please and I say it again, dont vote partys like Coalition Canarias ( last 4 years in charge ) worst period, or small partys like Nueva Fuerteventura, Amf.  From now on I will keep you informed off everything. I will explain which partys have foreign people on their list, special programm for the coast etc etc, if you have questions just ask......

Coast Coalition

So we finally voted in england so lets concentrate on where we live now, Fuerteventura Antigua. Like I told you all before we have 9 partys. From Big Partys as Pp or Psoe to partys as Cc and Nc big partys in the canarian islands to small partys on the level of Fuerteventura which are  Amf , Ppm, Nf and Anc and to the only party representing Antigua which is Apa.
Cc together with psoe was for the last 4 years in charge of our municipal, for me and for the people who live on the coast it had been really a disaster, with big investments in Antigua ( Swimmingpool, new roads and roundabouts etc etc) and almost no investment in the coast zone off Antigua. Dont think anybody ever spoke with any counciler or had contact with the mayor Doña Nary Ruiz.
The only english counciler Deborah from el castillo was inable to do anything. Didnt let her work at all, thats why she didnt end her 4 years.
Tomorrow will write you more, but untill now please vote vote and vote but dont vote Cc or Psoe. Please.

Coast Coalition

So lets talk a litle bit about PP , the main man here is Gustavo Berriel. He was the mayor 4 years ago with another party. CLAN  if anybody remembers. Now he goes witt a bigger party , Partido popular which is in charge in all spain. (RAJOY ETC..) he wasn, t a bad mayor although he didnt have nobody on his list who speaks english. He had some big problems with the local businessmen because of his way off being. ( very dictatorial) . In the last election his party wasnt voted by a lot of people because he didnt do a good job. This time on his list we have Hugo Estevez who is in charge of the harbour, and Johana the owner of the bar Alhambra in el castilo. On their programm they talk about colaboration, centro de salud etc etc but there is nothing really interesting.
Conclusion... could be voted but is not a secure one. I dont think anybody can remember to talk with him while he was a mayor. Btw number 2 is still the same woman as lost time Lola, not really into english talking..

I know Gustavo and Joanna. They both speak English.

I'll vote for anybody who will tarmac (asfalto) the dirt road passing by my house. I was promised this 10 years ago by another politician.

Coast Coalition

Finally it seems somebody is interested ii our elections. As you can see woe10 i spoke about the last lists ( for 4 years) without english speaking persons. Also hugo speaks english on the new list. Could you more or less tell us where you want to have the road asfalted so we can talk with the politicians to see what they say about it. Thanks again Woe10 and first off all, i hope you will vote as everybody should.

I'd appreciate it if someone could outline the voting procedure. I have voted before but I forget what was involved.

i.e. what papers do we need, should something have been posted to us etc.

....
A guy has just hand delivered an electoral voting slip to our house... for my wife not me. Must have been something I said.

Deso

Regards, Neil
Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

Did you sign and return the forms that got sent out a few months ago? I don't know if the form is a 'one off' and perhaps you have done it before or whether you needed to return it in order to get your 'Tarjeta censal'.

Whatever, I'd also appreciate a bit of guidance on what to take/do on the day.

I wouldn't bother, they're all crooks, with smiley faces on their posters  ;D

So voting will be sunday 24 may from 9 am till 8 pm normally in every village there is a place to vote. If you are in the senso ( you can ask in the townhall ) . In these votingofgices you will find the papers to vote. For example in caleta de fuste it will be in the office of culture ( where once the old football area was , at entrance of the town.) All the papers you get now in your paperbox ar of no use at all. You need to take your nie number with your passport that day. At the place to vote, the rest  s easy. Remember please vote....
