Went in last night for a minor op. this morning. Everything ran like clockwork, the staff were fantastic, friendly and efficient. The new part is impressive. More importantly the atmosphere was relaxed but highly professional. Everyone accepted I spoke limited Spanish and went the extra mile to make sure I understood what was happening to me. Had a lovely relaxed day after the early op. I asked if I could stay a couple more days but they kicked me out about 6pm!

Only downside; I shared my room with a Majoraro guy who fed the TV with Euros. We found Storage Wars but NO Judge Judy!

Forgot to say that it is the hospital in Puerto del Rosario

Urgencias is up a ramp and on the first floor. The large consultation room has lots of curtained off cubicles and quite a few equipped side rooms. Looks roomy and professional. Triage seems very efficient from a previous visit. The wait for this simple op. was four weeks. I had a local plus tranquilizer which I think was ketamine as I jumped a few fences on the way home!

Mr Boo Boo

what's a curtailed cubicle is it anything like a curtained off cubicle

Where did they remove it from ? ! ? ! ? ! ? !  Not from the nostril, surely?

Spike On Q

Post operative care was carried out at my local health centres without issue. Nine stitches were removed eight days after the opp. Specialist appt. this Friday.

Just to say I was fully discharged last Friday. Am reassured IF there were any issues they would be dealt with in the same efficient manner the whole process has been to date. The food, well school dinners but you don't want much if you are undergoing treatment. Those little Mars bars and Twix kept me going and the fresh fruit
