What to wear

If you are like me, you enjoy starting your Fuerteventura day with a good walk/hike/ramble.  And if you re truly like me, you enjoy most of the the travels natural, sans/sin clothing. Unless there is a local ordinance, the laws of Spain don't require to dictate your attire (hail the opposition to Franco!)

Unfortunately, we are reminded by the spokesperson for  Canaria naturism that the police have the right to ask for identification at any time. That is why I wear a hat with a zipped pocket that holds my ID. Oddly. this has worked in several ways.

While hiking on cold weather days, the hat has kept my head warm. As a consequence, I have discovered it was unnecessary to wear a long length shirt. While one might be cold a first, during a walk, the cap makes a difference. And while most times the police usually ignore the nudist and fine the person walking without  a leash on their their dog it is always nice to know you have abided by the rules.

Wearing the cap of the police and tonally kick-ass boots might actually attract the authorities. (Images are required to confirm such outcomes.) At which time she might be offered a police escort to her hotel. Any male associate will have to fend for himself.
