bought an apartment in parque hollandes and wish to get some form of internet connection for my kindle (not essential) and a samsung android tablet (priority), i was thinking of a dongle with a payg data sim from a spanish provider, it will only be low usage, printing boarding cards etc and checking news etc, ideally usage wont time out as i visit three or four times a year currently and want some connectivity

suggestions on a postcard please and where to buy it from?

we have wifi in the apartment complex but for the amount of use i need i think a dongle with payg sim will be cheaper

thanks in advance ian  ;)

im also a 55yr old non tech savvy person, any replies in simple terms are good, guy at work is writing this for me ;)

Hi Ian

We bought a Vodafone data sim for our mobile 3G wifi dongle from the Vodafone shop in Corralejo which works fine with our iPads. We got 1Gb of data for 20€ the downside is if you don't use all the data up within a month it expires so you lose whatever you haven't used. Also you have to top up the sim periodically (I think it's once within every 6months) or that will expire too.

You can buy other data sims from another shop in Corralejo near the Shell garage opposite La Bodeguita restaurant, which may have a cheaper/better tariff for you.  The staff speak English in both shops and they were all helpful.

Hope this helps  :)

Just joined this forum and got to say having read through numerous topics I am impressed. This type of first hand advice is really helpful.

Hope this helps  :)
