Internet via satellite from Sky

Has anyone tried this system?  Their advert seems quite interesting, and possibly will be better than Canarynet, which has been off since last Thursday. This is not Canarynet's fault, as the phone lines in the village have been down.
Any information will be much appreciated.

In Ireland sky can only deliver broadband over the telephone line or other communications network

yup, its the same as Quantis, satellite internet, small delay lapse.  promises 8mbp but only delivers  between .5 and 4mbps, still better than canary net in rural areas, but canary net beats it hands down in urban areas
