Hi

Does anyone know how long it takes to get electricity connected, and what you need to do?

Thanks
Joan

Did you buy a property or are renting? If you are renting then there should already be an electricity supply connected and you should sort out the payment of bills with your landlord or agent,  and if you bought then your lawyer should have made the transfer of existing electricity contract into your name. Otherwise there  is an Endesa office in Puerto del Rosario who should be able to help.

It is all very quick once the paperwork is done.

Thank you.

We have bought the property, which has been empty since it was built, so the electricity was never connected.  The wires are up to the box, it's just not connected up.  My lawyer is doing it, it just seems to be taking a long time and I wondered if this was normal.

If your lawyer is doing it then I am sure he will get a result sooner than you would if you were to have to do it yourself.  He must be able to give you some idea of when it will be connected surely?

In the meantime, try to relax and enjoy your new property with candle light, champagne and something tasty from the deli!

;D ;D

Hi Emmi, thanks for the advice.  We aren't over until May so hopefully it will be sorted by then, and if not I'll give the candles and champagne a go.  8)
