Data sim card for unlocked USB dongle

Hi

we will be over in Corralejo in March and are looking to buy a data sim card for our USB dongle.

We saw on another thread someone mentioned that the Tuenti sim and it looks like it has quite a reasonable tariff.  We've not heard of Tuenti before, does anyone know what the coverage is like in Corralejo and if it is good to buy one?

Tuenti is primarily Spains answer to Facebook, who have branched out.  We have been in Corralejo 7 weeks and reception is fine, slows sometimes in bad weather but never dropped completely, faster than the free wifi on complex.

thanks for the info.  Can I ask where did you buy your simcard?  I know Tuenti have an online store but didn't think they would deliver to the UK.

I e-mailed complex to ask if I could use their address and had it sent for when we arrived, you also need to give passport details to buy Spanish Sim.  Lebara also do 500mb for 5 euro and there is an internet cafe in Calle Acorazado Espana who sell these and set it all up for you.  Easier but more expensive.

We have an apartment in Corralejo & I tried to order online and have the card sent there, however it came up with a message that they cannot deliver to this area.  Did you order your SIM card via the Tuenti website?  It certainly looks like the best tariff for what we need.

Have a look at motorhomewifi.com for info re buying sim cards/ dongles etc for use in Europe. We have got a microsim from them for use in Fuerte. It is not tied to any network so you can choose the best signal each time you want to use it.

We are using our Europasim (microsim) bought from Motorhome wifi in our ipad here in Lajares with no problems.
