Hi,

I'm trying to source a decent internet satellite connection in a rural area that doesn't have fixed telephone lines, in Fuerteventura obviously.

Is QUANTIS my only option or have any of you used SKYDSL2 ?

The SKYDSL2 deal seems quite good but they only have partners in GC and Lanza, not here. Surely, the coverage would stretch to north Fuerteventura.

Any other satellite internet providers, please let me know.

Hi SKYDSL2 looks ok there is no long term contract to tie you down. only heard of bad reports on quantis number two speeds number two service no mention of price on skydsl2 but good coverage as they use several satellites. if you go with skydsl2 please report back on hear if you are pleased with there product.

A message from SKYDSL claims not to cover Fuerteventura.

They use Atlantic Bird 1 (Eutelsat 12), the footprint of which seems to be weak over FUE. So a bigger dish than the 80cm they would provide may not be sufficient.

It's a shame as their prices were very good.

Had to go with Quantis, so fingers crossed.
