Not quite sure what you are asking, All TVs purchased over there have an aerial input that connects to your own aerial or the communal one.
For your English channels you have several options.
Get a whacking big satellite dish minimum 3 mtrs and either a SKY box or a standard satellite receiver.
Get UKTV via your own aerial but its expensive.
Connect your TV to your computer and watch one of the free programs such as FilmOn.
Most Spanish channels now over there have an option to listen to the soundtrack in its original form as well as Spanish.

Thanks Globetrotter for the info As we are on a complex we can not put up our own dish so have to plug into the communial one which i think is all spannish. If we use a sky box through the communial dish would we be able to pick up english channels?

The short answer is no, it all depends which satellite the dish point to, if its Sky and its about one mtr in size you will pick up some English channels but mainly Shopping and the CBS series, if it pointing towards the Spanish one you will only get Spanish channels but like the aerial reception you may be able to change some of the languages.
DONT expect BBC, ITV, CH4 or CH5 though, the only way to get those are as I said before.
Most people on complexes that dont allow a dish get round it somehow such as putting it on their balcony and hiding it by putting that green stuff round the balcony railings so that it cannot be seen from street level, assuming your balcony is upstairs.
The only other option if you dare is a small dish pointing to the Nilesat satellite, there are quite a lot of programes on there that you can change to English, its all Arabic stations with Arabic subtitles but quite watchable, once again No BBC, ITV etc.

Forgot to say that if the connector in your place is a satellite one you will need a satellite receiver to plug in between the socket and the TV then via a Scart, if its just an aerial socket then the satellite reception is decoded and distributed around the complex along with the normal digital television.

You can buy a free to air satellite tv here from Norty Sur this can plug into the wall the same as for the terrestrial channels. Unfortunately I know of no complex here which has a working satellite output in the wall so it would need it's own dedicated cable from the dish.

A communal dish here often run into a shed with satellite boxes set on certain channels, like Sky news etc which you tune in with your tv like any other terrestrial channel.

For the best range of channels for Sky pay per view you need a 1.2m. For them all at present you need a 1.9m but that is just at present as that satellite is due to be replaced, may be up and running before the end of the year.

The Astra FTA line up has around 180 channels, mostly advertising though 25 odd are decent if normally older and cheaper programs. But it does have Sky News, BBC radio and sport to separate it from others. It requires an 80cm dish.

Nilesat has several hundred channels mostly Arabic but again you can pick out 30-40 channels as favourites with the best being US based though promoted as Arabic. It has modern movies and series, international news stations and international sport. This only requires a 60 cm dish.

Nearly every complex has a rule about dishes but in most they are ignored, where is yours?
