selling privately

Hello there - I have an apartment to sell and was wondering if it's worthwhile trying to sell privately? Any suggestions on websites etc. that might be effective?

Hi Tabby,

I think the the two things you need to do is get it on rightmove (or similar) and I don't think they
will take private sales as they make their money from estate agents  The other way is just a sign
which would work if you have neighbours who are selling.  This is how I sold my first house in the UK
over 25 years ago.  A neighbour put their property up with and agent I paid for a sign and figured if someone
was interested to view their house and saw my sign it would generate interest and it worked sold my house about
6 weeks later to someone who had viewed the other house
