Not a word Anne. My guess is that the Dublin route will be kept. They have managed to sell Dublin flights at a much higher price than they have been selling the English ones for and yet still manage to be less expensive than Aerlingus.

The 3 year contract for the first routes was signed in October 2009 so is due for renewal again.

It sure would. I had a look in the Archives and the contract was signed on 14th October but I cant remember when the flights started....was it the following April Anne? Well Michael O leary has said on radio that they will be grounding a number of aircrafts for the winter due to high fuel costs.Dublin is safe now as flights are up, but not for Cork,I still feel Cork will come up soon unless he starts flying from Kerry!!!Cork flights were nearly always full.

Flying out from Bournemouth a couple of weeks ago - the plane was half full. I thought this route's gonna get chopped, if this is the norm. Coming back the plane was full!
I guess the only solution is more holidays.
I Flew Ryanair to Madrid from fuerte last week 3 hours later Madrid to Manchester. Nice way to get back. Both flights did not have a spare seat on them. With the growing potential visitor numbers and all the Chinese coming over to use the new Casino opening next month, Ryanair would be mad not to increase flights to Fuerteventura.
I don't think it's anything to do with whether the flights are full or not. It's more to do with the subsidies that Ryanair receive from the Spanish Government. If they pull them they will pull the flights. Spain is in no position now to lose any form of tourism. They need tourists.

With the possible demise this year of another major carrier to FUE... (TCX), I think it's probably time to slip Michael the brown envelope before the stakes get higher.

Last summer when all the hotels were full of AI because of the arab crisis yet it was no better in the pubs/restaurants than before does it not mean if the likes of Thomas Crook disappear it will have no effect also? Or maybe they might even push cheaper flights only, duuno just chewing the cud here, whadda ya think?
I think that over the last 2 years the Resturants have been almost full and have had a good time. All inclusive is there as it was 10 years ago but people still go out to have the odd meal and use the bars. I have seen a big improvement in Calata since I came over 3 years ago. There is now a much more European client base lots of French and Italian and North Europeans. Caleta has a much better feel to it these days...
