Anyone offering odds on a new peseta by the end of the year?
I´m thinking of taking all my Euros out of the bank here, (except for a few), and exchanging them for Dollars. need some advice. Appy, where are you.
The problem is the € has weakened a hell of a lot in the last week or so. You'd be locking in that loss. Is the € going to rebound? In my opinion not a cat in hells chance. It does not look good for the € and no way the Spanish Government can support it's banks id proverbial hits the fan with Greece and Spain becomes next domino so looking at a big bailout from the ECB. All in all very nasty times we are living in.
sit tight
Do you think so, I trust your monetery wisdom. "Sit tight", how long for. What if the "proverbial" hits the fan. They say that 1/3 of Greeks have already transfered their money to Switzerland.
Good luck tomorrow, by the way,[;)]
run
Withdrawals in Greek banks reach £650m a day amid possible eurozone exit. I´m just dusting down my Running Shoes;)
sit tight
A good safe bet woe the Canadian dollar or Ausie dollar both countries have vast minerals and are big exporters also Brazil.
the more that withdraw the worse it will get. . Was the same panic buying at the fuel pumps a while ago and it created a problem when there wasn't one.
Extract from Banco Sabadell website:
"We are pleased to inform you that we have restored all services of the group and the operational merger between Banco Guipuzcoano and Banco Sabadell has been completed successfully"
Sabadell/Solbank was offline for 24 hours and I feared the worst!
they were changing everything to the peseta;)
More bad news - Bankia shares have ceased trading and the bank has asked the Spanish government for a bail out of !9 BILLION Euros
its good news if they get it.
Spike your 2 days behind with the news
