Tried it for the first time the other day as somehow managed to get a night off!
Anyway, if your looking for a good meal then you need to try this place. I have known the chef for a good while and was well aware of his capabilities but now he has his own menu the food is amazing.
I don't normally rave about going out for a meal, let alone make a post about it but really the food I and the mrs had the other night was out of this world.
Nice to see a place focus on fresh food so much and couldn't fault any of it. Priced well also for the quality you get.

Sounds good, will definitely try it when we are over in May. We will also be popping into our favourite chinese restaurant Jinxing a few times. Its looking good for the area; there will be plenty to keep us happy what with the 2 new places opening up, Mustangs, Villa Pizza, Crazy Goat, and Stoners. Might not bother going into Caleta at all [:)]
Dont be fooled by comments, the food is overpriced and a rift raft element is already prevailent in the bar area and discord between the two management couples has raised its ugly head and see other comments about the chef being a little hot headed, I will ply my business elsewhere.
Hmmmm,, either BS was on a big discount.(Did he say he new the Chef ????) or tarkacreek has an agenda against them.

Lmao, I take no discount, no offers, no nothing, I am me and always have been.
I will however every now and again promote something that is good.
As for "Tarkacreek's" (23 posts) comment, that's her opinion.
As it happens it would seem there has been changes there but that's not my business.
I will say though that I have worked alongside said chef and seen what he can do, but I never promoted this because I worked with the guy, I did it because the food was spot on.

Unless you're a happy hour drinker then who cares for the price as long as the food is good.
Always like to make up my own mind about any bars/restaurants and try not to let myself be influenced by any negative/positive comments placed online. As long as a restaurant has good food and wine, friendly staff, and a clean environment I am happy [:D] and of course not too expensive!!

this bar is fab obviously the name makes sense,the owners bill and ann r lovely people as r the staff,the staff that were there wendy and frazer left and thats there buisness no one elses it DOES NOTaffect the bar in any way the food is fab,the drinks r fab the place and the staff r fab,specially trev!!! so just go and try it for yourselves,and see ,as u say every1 has there own opinion and maybe some pple shouldnt be on these sites if they carnt handle a bit of critisim as every1 has a rite 2 air there views weather good or bad,about anything,but being nasty is a little to much to air on here,the place is fab ann and bill r fab,but each have there own views so just chill in the sun and relax,i love it there and will continue to drink there,as i will in the goat as senta is lovely ,theres loads of places to go,and loads to do ,so enjoy!

Nothing wrong with criticism, but mud slinging and slagging off is not classed as the same in my eyes.
Had a meal there last week and have nothing but the height of praise. We were made feel very welcome by Bill and Ann and the quality of the food was one of the best we have experienced in Caleta/Horizonte. Would highly recommend their roast stuffed pork dish[^] Forgot to mention their Bailey's Ice Cream[:D]
Thanks to Trevor for his table service and I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant for it's quality and pricing. Keep up the good work[:)]
Agree with Cllr Collins about Fabs. Had a really good meal there last week. Also tried El Patio in Caleta for the first time and it was fantastic. Great atmosphere and food and the staff were really friendly.
Must agree with Cllr. Collins was in Fabs two weeks and the proprietors were very welcoming and the Barman Trevor is a particular asset to the place
Good to see new businesses opening up in the area and they should be encouraged... Kavanaghs reopening soon also , good luck Bobby and co.
Stoners is gonna be huge, to see what bobby is doing with the place it pretty amazing

fabs again has come up tops,,,,the last 3 evenings we have eaten there can not fault the food,or the staff,,trevor and donna and the cheifffress haha,,ann and bill are fab hence the name,,,,i would recomend to any1,,,and were looking forward to eating there againnnn very soon then of 2 cloud 9 for karioke as usual best places to be,,,including playa blanca beach bar thats just the best as well !!!

strictly speaking it was called "fabs" for a different reason ;)
i do no f for frazer,a for ann,b for bill and s for stone but seeing as wot occured wen all there together wasnt very good then now ann and bill have the bar solo with trev being top barman and a very good one at that,,,i was going to buy this bar myself but bought another at the last minute and there could not be nicer people running it now,,,as the previous couple didnt have a clue,,,needless 2 say thats why it was 4 sale ,,,but the food and bar is fab!!!!

yep she was there last week showing all how goos she was as far as i no bill and ann r having her playing there a few times she is fantastic

fabs again is tops food is spot on,and so are the drinks...trev is great as per usual,and as every1 who works there,keep up the good work every1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
barry and debbie were very hard working people and its a shame that people will say things about them now there not on the island, always the same every one having a go at people who are no longer there
Especially when it's another bar owner..makes you not want to visit the Beach Bar at Playa Blanca when the owner seems a bit spiteful.

I've been to FABS and it is nice, but I can't understand why a certain individual on this site just rants on about how FAB the staff, place, food is etc. Is she on a commission? There are many Fabulous bars in Caleta where you can enjoy good food, beer, service, company and absolutely stunning views. I think the contributor making bad remarks about previous owners ought to pay a visit to some of the other bars and see how things are done e.g. Slap n Tickle, Hemmingways, Villa Pizza, Baba O'Rileys to name just four.
