Title: Gas BBQ
Post by: Johnny on June 09, 2020, 10:26:48 AM
I know this has been asked before but I searched and can only find replies going back to 2018.

It may be that regulations have changed. I have seen some lovely BBQ's for sale in Rosario and prefer them to coals.

SO............

How do and where do I get gas for such BBQ's?

I seem to recall it used to be a bit of a pain in the **** with forms to be filled out etc for the gas.

I just want to buy a BBQ, get the gas and cook away.

Thanks peeps. Its good to be back on here after a few years absence!

most of the DISA petrol Stations sell Gas, we got ours from the one near Playa Blanca, you need a licence costs circa 40â,¬, although a couple of years back Windermere Golfer was told they had stopped issuing them for some reason or other that eludes me.

Yep, just tool up at a garage that sells the bottles, and they should issue a licence for you, take your NIE and I think they asked for proof of ID, cost circa 40â,¬

Thanks Mr G.

Great info.

Used to love a BBQ over there but coals were just a pain to use. Bought and electric BBQ (basically a bigger version of a George Foreman Gril) but that just wasn't the same and a pain to keep clean.

Regards and thanks,

John

Who do you think would stock the cheapest BBQs?

I see that Ideal have 3 models, â,¬449, â,¬549 and â,¬649 respectively!

Airmecs, basic model with side burner (cooker flame), about EUR250 in various fereterrias or Centro Hogar, green building in Rosario selling furniture.

Blond lady on the till there speaks reasonable English

I have a small bog standard charcoal bbq but wary of using it with the regular winds out there. One of the concrete chimney type ones would be good but pricey
