It would appear that there is yet another Chinese shop opening to replace Edem on the Industrial Zone in Costa Antigua.

There is a suggestion on Facebook that it is either an extension of the existing or it is run by the same family, somehow I doubt that looking at the signage it looks a more professional operation, for example, the main sign is in raised lettering, not just painted on the wall, but time will tell.
In addition, there is progress at last with The IKEA extension.

Morning John,
I saw the work being done in Edem when we were out a few weeks ago, had a look in the windows & thought it looked like it was to be a Chinese shop.
Hard to say whether same crowd or not. I would guess the unit size is similar to the existing one & they had done a few extensions in spaces at the back (tools & such) only a couple of months ago.
I thought the Chinese idea was to carve up the island have a big shop in each area, they don`t seem to have been in direct competition with one another up to now !!! Interesting 🤔🤔🤔
UPDATE: It would appear from other Facebook Fuerte group posts that it is indeed a new company. They apparently have an outlet on Tenerife that has a much bigger range of goods so good for the local area 😃
I thought the building beside IKEA was a new ITV station, they were putting in foundations when we were out but I thought I saw a big ITV sign up at the front, oops 🤪😜😝
