Post by: thinkingoffuerte2018 on June 21, 2018, 18:30:29 PM
Hi everyone,

Please can anyone give me some more information on Tamaragua.

1. How far is the nearest beach and what is the walk like
2. Do you know if the villa gardens have much sun in during the day

I would love to know anyones experience of this area as we have the opportunity to have a villa.
Look forward to your replies
Thanks

In relation to location, its about 5 miles from Corralejo and that is where the nearest beaches are. The complex has a lot of permanent residents, rather than holiday makers. There is a small supermarkets, but I think the last bar/restaurant has closed down. There is a bus service though to both Corralejo and El Cotillo, but honestly if you`re staying there a car is pretty essential. Just don`t be tempted to drink if you drive either as the cops are red hot on it..

Not for everyone but some of the villas are very nice, often with pools and/or hot tubs and usually at a very reasonable prices..You pays your money....

What manzana are you looking at?

The higher numbers are more northern Europeans the lower numbers tend to be more Spanish and are great if you are used to the Spanish idea of quiet.

You can walk it to beach but you really need to go by bus or car or even bike.

Just about every villas gardens get sun as they are very large. However, it depends on when you want the sun and what time of year. I would say in the summer months most gardens have sun from morning to evening. However, in the winter months as the sun is not so high depending on which direction the villa is in, you might find you either get early sun in morning and then it gradually disappears in the afternoon, or you don`t get much sun in morning and get it for longer in the afternoon. You really need to visit a villa at different times of the day (and ideally different times of the year) to get a true idea.

It`s 3km to town not  5 miles, all the bars have not closed down just one although it was the main bar at the time we do have 2 bars still open both do value for money, good food and drink with lovely people and staff, buses and taxis are regular and good price, Manzana10 has its own community pool,
