Title: Car Insurance in Fuerteventura.
Post by: ashworth on April 17, 2018, 08:42:15 AM
Research from the comparison website Confused.com reveals that the average premium for annual UK car insurance is £768. The sum is around £13 cheaper than the same period last year.

I know here the car is insured and anyone can drive it.What premiums are people paying and who is the best to use.

google "seguro de coche". it'll show a few comparison websites. Enter your details. Even though in spanish, it's easy to know what they're asking.

I usually choose the cheapest as they're all a pile of cr#p when it comes to claiming.

Any one had a claim with Liberty securos and got any good or bad experiences with the claim? Also how long did it take for the process to take from claim to car repaired and back to you?

Again I totally agree with this post, they are anything but number two when it comes to claiming or anything else, not the cheapest but well
worth what they cost. for both car and house insurance.

Never had to claim anything so don't know about that. But once wnen I called the Linea Directa emergancty number in Madrid  for a breakdown wagon, Gruas Miguel were there in 20 minutes.  8)

Also, name one ins company that doesn't mess about when you want to make a claim.

Last Monday night my car broke down in Puerto.  After calling Linea Directa they sent out Gruas Miguel (breakdown truck) and he charged up the battery so I could get home.
I then had to call again the next day to get the car started.  The breakdown truck followed me to garage and I bought a new battery.
That service cannot be beaten - and all involved were very helpful.

I am with Liberty. My agent is Yolanda who works in the same office as Carolina. My recent claim was not for a car issue but with a water leak. But it was handled fantastically well by Yolanda. At first the assessor came out - he said it was not able to be a claim on the Insurance as my water pipe partly ran under a public area!!! And off he went!  Not happy with that I went to see Yolanda. My argument being that regardless of where the pipe was running, it was MY pipe and MY water loss. In the meantime I had had the leak repaired as had to be fixed quickly.  I gave her the repair bill, and several water bills to justify the excessive water loss.  She argued with them and within a short time I had received compensation in full for the repair and loss of water. I call that bloody good service. I would imagine any claim on car insurance would receive the same service going by that.

Is that just the standard cheapest policy? If you have a flat battery at home you can just call them to take you to the garage with no charge?

Yes, you contact the Linea Directa central office (they speak English) and they then contact the breakdown service in Fuerteventura.  They can usually get to you in 20 minutes.
