Rather odd, especially as Tenerife has two airports.

Hi Neil,
Possibly the second airport in Tenerife doesn`t have the facilities/length of runway etc required. No idea really, just surmising 🤔🤔

It will be the designated Emergency Airport. Not for scheduled flights.
