Title: Buggy Tours changed?
Post by: AviationFanatic on October 23, 2017, 19:25:21 PM
Came over in June and done a buggy the 4 hour buggy tour that takes you through the mountains, El Cotillo and then back up the coast to Corralejo and loved it. Wanted to do it again when Im next over but a friend of mine has recently been over and enquired about it only to find out that the routes have changed and that you go down south past the RIU Hotels and then in land and back to Corralejo through the middle of the island.

Also said they noticed quiet a lot of the buggy's parked up and most of the companies closed except the one outside Wendy's car hire next to the frozen yogurt shop

How come the routes got changed and the companies closed?

The Ayuntamiento de La Oliva (the local council) are putting in measures to control where the buggys etc can go, to avoid destroying natural spaces and annoying residents.

The Fuerteventura Cabildo (Island Council) are also in the process of banning them from designated, protected areas in other parts of the island.
