Hi all
First time visitor hoping to come to the island in Jan/Feb 18. I am middle aged, on my own, looking for a nice hotel with pool and beach that is not to busy. Family run would be nice. Any help appreciated.

Why so many questions to post?
La concha apartments is a small complex as is Palm springs in corralejo. Some owners of Palm Springs are on owners direct. Both small and quiet with pools 😀

Welcome to the forum, and hopefully to our lovely island.
I can't think of any hotels that fit your criteria I'm afraid, most seem to be quite large hotels, the smaller places tend to be apartment complexes. Hopefully someone else will be able to help you with this. Living here I've not had occasion to research hotels for quite a few years.
The questions: for your first few posts the system is designed to make sure you are not a robot! It does get better but I can't remember how many posts you need to make before you're let loose! Persevere!
Hotel Arena in Corralejo isn't overly large. We have only stayed once for one night, which we enjoyed and have no complaints, but have friends who have stayed several times and love it and say what a friendly Hotel it is with very helpful staff. One of them is single and always go on their own. It is all inclusive but I believe you can do B&B if you prefer. Our single friend does this and books direct with the hotel.
Can recommend the Barceló Corralejo Bay hotel, great location (centrally located), adults only, lovely food and restaurant, great pool area, good evening entertainment etc, when we over in July there were a number of single adults staying in the hotel..so no issues for single travellers.... enjoy and welcome to the forum and before you all join in I know that its part of a chain not a family run hotel.
The Rui Tres Island Hotel on the outskirts of Corralejo is excellent at catering for single traveller, they sit them all together in a specific area of the dining room, its a very friendly atmosphere and people quickly become acquainted. I stayed there a couple of times when I was selling my property, food is first class and it is right on the beach, couldn't recommend it enough. If you book direct with the hotel you can get a single room at a discounted rate.
During Jan and Feb 2018 it works out at around £79 per night half board for the Rui Tres Island, that's good value for the quality of the hotel.
