22 canelos canelos, 30 coots, three cigüeñuelas and two domestic ducks have appeared dead in the dam of Los Molinos. Ornithologist Eduardo Castilla found the panorama Sunday afternoon, although it does not point to any cause of death until the Cabildo does not make the analyzes.

The ducks are dying, "said ornithologist Eduardo Castilla when he appeared last Sunday to the Molinos dam in Tefía, and saw dead canines of 22 canelos, 30 coots, three cigüeñuelas and two domestic ducks. This numerous death could relacionares with the discovery three months ago, in ponds Golf El Castillo, ten canelos jars and two mallards lifeless, according to the Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA) of the Civil Guard.

Castile also adds other aquatic birds affected: seven canelos canelos that could hardly fly and about 22 that made very low; And about 25 coots also with problems to raise the flight. He adds lizards, hedgehogs perinquenes and lifeless on the water's edge, says that almost certainly for having eaten remains of dead ducks and geese. This ornithologist estimates that the colony of birds of Los Molinos, one of the most important wetlands in Fuerteventura and place of landing of migratory species, is between 150 and 200 copies.

Seprona agent went on Sunday to the dam after the call Eduardo Castilla, then warn the agents of Environment of the Cabildo, which are responsible for collecting samples which are then sent to analyze and determine the cause of death.
