Can you members tell me if you have to pay a car tax here,same as uk.
You pay an annual car tax with your local Ayuntamiento. It's cheap - I pay 46.50â,¬. You can set up a direct debit with your Ayuntamiento.

Is the Car tax the dependent on the car engines size / emissions / price as it is in the UK ?

You can also pay online....I get a reminder by email with details on how to do this.
Be aware that second hand car prices are expensive over here compare to the UK, but you're probably already aware of this.
