Title: Jet2 from Stansted
Post by: Sir Real on May 09, 2017, 16:44:00 PM
Anyone flown with them from Stansted yet?  I'm doing so next week, and wondered what to expect.

Cheers,
Chris

No but I would be interested in your views when you do. We are travelling out from there in September

I few out with them from Stansted on 21st April.  Plane barely one third full so heaps of space.  Check in was quick.  As they get busier it will not be as good as this!

True..We have just used them too and from Leeds, as we have in the past. The cabin service up here is frankly what BA used to be. They have now started to operate their own passenger handling ground staff at Fuerte. The staff are 50/50 British and Spanish but all fully bilingual and do their best to help..The aircraft handling is still done by Avia Partners though.

Usually fly from the North but was down in London area so flew in from Stansted, nice dedicated check-in area and lots of desks open, like Leeds and Manchester.

Flew back from FUE to Leeds, Jet2 have their own customer helpers but the people on check-in desks are still handling agent staff.  The customer helper staff seemed really attentive, looking after people with wheelchairs and families etc, good to see.  You can't knock them for this as no other airline is providing this kind of service these days.

Tch tch - not updating my own post :).  Flew in on the 16th.  Late departure and arrival, and (like cryin'air) no net on the seat back you're facing, so nowhere to put small bits and pieces.  I kept my jacket to hand, to keep stuff in the pockets, but it makes the seat that bit more cramped.  Didn't sample the on-board catering, so can't comment.  Not hugely impressed, but I expect I'll use them again

They provide a pull down cup holder on the seat in front of you.  You could hang your jacket on that.

Hi Dave. I used Jet2 at Easter when I had to pop home for a few days. To be honest, no better/no worse than the rest. 10Kg hand baggage if I remember correctly and both legs took off and landed on time. Hopefully see you over the summer!

I have booked Ryanair for the rest of my flights this year but may give them a try next year.
