How does car tax work?
We recently got a bill and went to pay it but we were told to come back at the end of march - does it run April to march?
I guess you can set up a direct debit?
And lastly how much is it for a year?

Depends where you live Snowdrop, got my bill last week and paid it last week, I live in Corralejo. As far as I know it runs Jan to Dec for everyone but is paid around this time just once a year and yes you can set up a D/D it's just after they issue a bill to you, you no longer can pay by D/D until next year. I believe it depends on engine size but seems the average is â,¬43.
You can also pay online...details are on the form I got from them.
The bill you received probably quotes 2 different amounts for the annual tax. If you pay during the first set of dates quoted it is normally slightly less than if you pay during the second set of quoted dates. (Certainly applies for La Oliva). You only pay one of the amounts, not both!
