Hello , I'm moving to Fuerteventura in January . Have bought a villa and have an NIE number . My question is regarding the paper work required by customs for bringing my container into Fuerteventura. My removal company is telling me that they need an original copy of the contract of sale for the villa I've bought .... is this correct ? Does anyone have a list of all the documents I need to provide or is anyone able to point me in the right direction on where to find out the information. I'm sending a 20 foot container by ship from Germany . It will be full normal household items . I have a British passport . Many thanks . Nick
What I had to provide to my removal company was a letter from the Ayuntamiento - the people who do the empadronamiento. It was very like the padron and the "viaje" but the wording spoke of where I was moving from (just the country, I think) and the rough date of the move. However, I might well have had to show the deeds to get the letter. Hope that helps. If important, I may be able to dig out the letter.
