Title: New Petrol Station at The Airport
Post by: woe10 on October 08, 2016, 13:16:53 PM
In the process of being built at the roundabout just inside the Airport gates. Good for returning rental cars.

Indeed it is Malabu, I agree...A very busy airport these days and no fuel stop if travelling north until the far side of Rosario, unless you are brave and know where you are going..Some of the hire cars are running on fumes when you pick them up, with no assistance from the company that you have just paid  :'(

We're getting one in El Cuchillette too, on the main road south near Gran Tarajal

Next will be a Mercadona if Padilla, who's head office is in Tuineje, Don't continue to rule the roost (and the local council)!

That will be very useful for returning hire cars with same fuel level as was when collected

If returning hire cars I think you will still be much cheaper filling up at the one just before the airport. Last time we were there there was 0,10â,¬ difference between this one and the one in Corralejo.

The two garages in Corralejo must be the most expensive to fuel at on the Island. If I need fuel, I wait until we are returning from El Cotillo and nip into the Disa garage in la Oliva which is at least 10c a litre cheaper than its Disa counterpart in Corrie  :o..Not just the UK for rip offs eh  ;D

I have little doubt that the new airport fuel station will be priced for the `tourists`..too many sadly will fall for it as well  :-[

Petrol Station at airport not open yet, but price for 95oct petrol  at Disa by IKEA 0.91â,¬ and at Repsol Fuerteventura Golf 0.89â,¬.

Not bad compared to £1.20 for Shell diesel  >:( >:(

Funnily enough we just came back from Lanzarote yesterday and theres a new petrol station on the way into the airport there too, (wasnt there this time last year) and it too is 10 cents a litre dearer that any other we saw over our fortnight there.
Must comment we saw less Police there in the fortnight than we did every couple of days on our last trip to Fuerteventura, didnt see anyone pulled over nor any speed traps or cheeckpoints either, was same last year as well!!

I called in at the airport this evening and the new petrol station is open.

95 is 94.9 cents a litre, which is 1 cent cheaper than in Puerto and Caleta - which surprised me.  It'll be a lot cheaper than the petrol prices in the north and south of the island.
