Title: Is it permitted to walk across the Natural Park to beach in Corralejo?
Post by: Stranger Times on September 15, 2016, 14:06:39 PM
Sorry this may be a silly question but if you stay in Geafond is it permissible to short cut across the sand dunes to the beach and if so how long does it take?
Regards

Its not a problem to walk across the Natural Park, it will take about 20 mins to get to the beach. The only time it causes a problem is with a dog, they fine you.

Never walked that stretch but have found when we have taken a 'short cut' across the dunes it takes forever 😂 and would probably have been quicker walking along the road - but good luck to you on your route 🙂

I used to live in Geafond and found that walk (roughly following the pylons) very, very hot during the day. When you add on how long it takes you to get to the edge of the Park and then however far you want to go to get to the bit of beach you like, it can become quite a trek carrying your beach stuff. It was much nicer as a leisurely stroll early morning or late afternoon with no baggage! 'Only mad dogs ........'!

Hi TamaraEnLaPlaya,
It looks a good 1/2 plus to me from Google earth, thanks for reply can I ask where you relocated to and why? I like the space that Geafond offers while still close to town.  I cant see the wife wanting to live in one of the more remote locations or my children  wanting to stay somewhere not so lively.
Genuinely interested and jealous of everyone who took the plunge to move or long term stay, of course its incredibly impolite to ask personal details of your life, lol.
So please feel free to ignore or pm me if you wish.
regards
