Title: Mal Nombre beach...
Post by: bedouin on September 05, 2016, 16:25:26 PM
Has anyone visited Mal Nombre recently?  What's the state of the beach?  It used to be lovely and sandy, but when we went last year the sand had washed away leaving a mass of black rocks.  We're visiting again in a few weeks' time, and would love to have some advance info.

Same thing can happen just along the coast at Esquinzo.  Unbelievable amounts of sand can vanish or appear overnight.  One year it was blasted back to bedrock, but recovered for our next visit

There was plenty sand when we were there in March.

There was plenty of sand at Esquinzo last week; I had a look at Mal Nombre but didn't go down to the beach. It looked quite sandy.

Thanks, we're flying on Saturday morning, so will probably try the beach on Sunday.

Went to the big Sotavento beach today, and called in at Mal Nombre on the way back. The beach at Mal Nombre looks fine. We'll spend the day there tomorrow and report back.
