Title: Noisy proccesor
Post by: Johnrgby2 on June 12, 2016, 14:54:14 PM
I have a Dell desk top computer, which I have had for 6/8 months however it is extremely noisy, it makes a whirring whining noise which is driving me crazy, any one any thoughts?

I had the same problem, but on a slightly older PC. It could be one of 3 things - Fan, Power supply or hard drive  :(, hope you have a back up, you should be covered under warranty if only 8 months old. Ours was the power supply unit £25 + labour.

I now have the same problem with my Lenovo Yoga 2 laptop so hope that is only the cooling fan computer shop here I come tomorrow.

DUST!

Can't be sure that's your problem but it's got to be the front runner. It's a real problem here. Hospital wards have a succession of people suffering from dust intake. Computer hospitals too.
