Is there any way to find out or predict the tides at the lagoons in El Cotillo in September, I'm fair skinned so usually have to get out of the sun in the middle of the day, I do like to swim in a decent depth & cool down but would probably only visit El Cotillo in the mornings until lunchtime

You can look the tide times up on websites such as

You can set it for future dates. The times given are for Puerto del Rosario, but they're close enough for most purposes for Cotillo
Also some of the free local publications include tide tables, as far as I remember HOY is one of them.
There are various apps for smartphones and tablets too. I use one on my Kindle Fire which is accurate enough that I was able to predict that our favourite stone circle was going to be inundated by a particularly high tide.

2 high, 2 low each day, moving later each day by 30-50 mins.
Over your fortnight, you'll pretty much see every tide height at any fixed time.
Times vary along the coast, as the bulge of water passes along, so make sure you're on a table for the right place.
There's lots of tide table sites, some easier to understand than others.
We've never noticed the tide times pinned up around town, but probably are at the new harbour.
It's usually possible to buy a tide table cheaply in seaside towns, fishing shop would be a good place. Even if it's in foreign you only need high (alto?), low's the other one. Remember, it'll be different the next year.

As you are going in September, then you may find the tides are Springs and high enough to cover the beach. Around the 2nd/3rd, 17th/18th and first few days in October are when La Concha is likely to surprise the unwary :-)
