For the last 2 days my box is telling me that it's not connected to Wifi or Ethernet.
Checked all sockets, plugins, cables & untangled the mess behind the TV. Everything else is working, ZKTV on Wifi, PC, Notebook on Wifi.
So could it be the Box itself? I can get the Box on but when in, it gives me the message.
Any help much appreciated. 8) 8) 8)
OMR,
Have had exactly the same problem as yourself.
A couple of factory resets and re-installs of Droidplayer
and have restored a wifi connection. Ethernet refuses
to connect however. Be patient, your box is probably ok.
Good luck,
Bertie.
Thanks Bertie, Iv'e had a trawl around the internet & the Kodi box today. The box is definitely telling me my Wifi is not connected & I can see it's not. It says my Wifi links are all "out of range" Still have the problem of getting it back. Onward & upwards! 8) 8) 8)
Update Bertie; I contacted the Co. in the UK I bought it from & they have asked me to return it to them. Sounds like good service to me? Ever hopeful! 8)
I've had the same problem the last 4 or 5 days with my Droidbox T8.
Any idea what the problem might be woe? ??? 8)
Not that it's any consolation to OMR and Woe, my MXQ box after it's "crazy" few days
is now working perfectly again. It connects both via wifi and ethernet. Didn't
"do" anything to the box. My suggestion would be to unplug the box for a couple
of hours/days then try a factory reset. Good luck with your new box OMR when it arrives.

Dunno, I think my internet is playing up. The speed's up and down like a yo-yo. I'm going to try and sort it Monday morning.
Did a factory re-set and updated the firmware but still not right. I has to be the internet.
Did a speed test this morning, it's normally 14mb 'sh. today 4.2?. My notebook on Wifi is also not performing well lately either. :o
I'm no techie so don't know any answers, seems that the internet is not good though. 8)

This police activity has been on going for 2/3 years I know of, they confiscate the hardware, but seem unable to block the signals, In my humble opinion the more they secure these devices, the more of a challenge it will be for hackers to break them.
Maybe?

You are right OMR, I usually get 8Mb+ consistently. with movie star supplied by Hablaya, but am currently struggling to get 5, my signal appears to come from Lanzarote, and as I assume we are not all Moviestar customers, it would appear to be the signal strength has decreased or that as it s a holiday weekend it cannot cope? which does not bode well for the summer months.
Just done another speed test. 4.7! :(
From what I have heard here, we all use Telafonica/Movistar computer lines as they are the only ones in existence on the Island. Whoever you buy it from - Is that right? 8)
No idea, but as I said I use Hablaya which uses movie star equipment, had been struggling with 4/5 Mbps for the last month, Emailed my contact at Hablaya Monday, he replied that he would sort it, and since last evening, I am back at 8/9 Mbps

Yes there is only Movistar they have the monopoly, so no matter who supplies the internet it is them at the end of the day, like baked beans, there is HP, Heinz etc etc but no matter who sells them they are still beans ;)
Latest speed test, back up to 15! ? 8)

I am no Techie, so what do we put it down to? can extra Demand slow the system? if so July and August will be a nightmare.
