Well it obviously does't take much to entertain you Zed. ;) You can be entertained in most UK towns doing that, you don't have to wait till you're in Fue.
As Woe said the Spanish LOVE it and the ex pat kids LOVE it too.. live and let live, I'm sure there's better things to entertain you on holiday than sitting watching little kids eat burgers :P
There are many, many nice places to eat in Corralejo, some lovely small places ,privately owned Spanish restaurants where children are welcomed, and home made burgers are available as well as "proper" food. It`s just a shame that brainwashed people flock to the multinational fast food outlets because, well, they are familiar with them back home in their local mall. And they get a free toy. Still, as you say Hev, leave `em to it.
Incidentally, this extract is from my local paper, <The drink which was found to have the highest sugar content was Starbucks' venti grape with chai, orange and cinnamon hot mulled fruit, which had a total of 25 teaspoons of sugar per serving.> Couple that with a burger and, well, it makes you wonder what kind of parent would do something like this to a child. Absolutely unacceptable, the local doctor who highlighted this equated it to drinking a litre of vodka a day. All this is going on at the same time as an almost daily obesity epidemic warning is highlighted in the media.

No no no Hev, "Live and let live" is the attitude that breeds Obese people on the verge of a stroke etc. "Live and let Die" is more like it.

That Jayne Hurley sounds a bit of a scaremonger to me. If you eat too much of anything its not good for you. I'm not fat by the way....
Exactly htt number two food once a week is fine as long as you eat healthy the rest of the week and are mobile not sat on the pc 15 hrs a day

Don't think that drink is aimed at kids, and anyway Starbucks don't sell burgers, do they?
I just think that anything that keeps the people supplying money into the Fue economy, whether its McDungs, Burger King, tapas, cheap beers, good food, good entertainment..whatever..is good for the survival of the island...STOP knocking it, it's whats keeping the bars & restaurants open, and keeping this Island alive..and stops the the goat herders from taking their island back to the 19th century.
Had to happen sooner or later i guess, was always proud of the fact that fuerte was probably the only canary island not touched by fast food commercial outlets....unless of course one includes the american diner in central corralejo to that type of place? personally I am a fish and seafoody type so BK very much non applicable,you are what you eat right. ;) :)
Who honestly cares, its a Burger King for pete's sake (not sure who Pete is), some people like them, some don't, we occasionally visit Maccy D's when in Caleta and we are not obese (yet), and have also visited BK when it was in the Atlantico....why not close all the other cafes/bars that sell food
Not gonna lie, I could eat one of these every night of the week for the next 10 years
