The end of Schengen as we know it? Greece, Spain and Italy will be kicked out of the current zone along with some Eastern European countries as free travel is blamed for migrant crisis
This will mean strict border controls for everybody entering and leaving Spain. ( that means us ).
The idea of no borders in under-deveoloped countries such as those in the East of Europe, was a joke right from the beginning. Just a pipe-dream.

UK is not in Schengen, so if Spain is thrown out we will continue to suffer the current derisory passport checks on entry to and exit from Fuerte. They know who is on the plane from the APT info we have to supply so I can't see that it will be any different. Crossing land borders may become more of a pain, but few of us do this when travelling to Fuerte.
They won`t get rid of Schengen, trust me, this is a big part of their pipe dream.At the moment the penny is starting to drop though,but they will find ways to keep it. If it did go, it would`nt make much difference to travellers throughout Europe, after all it was hardly a problem before Schengen!!
The USA is a good example where they control targeted borders, like Mexico. There are no controls interstate, there are some illegal immigrants but nothing like the huge influx southern Europe has witnessed
