Title: Holiday letting, we start from the beginning. IMPORTANT NEWS.
Post by: eduard van der veen on September 24, 2015, 13:36:28 PM
As i told you in my last article things are changed. The Canarian Government voted wednesday 23 september for the overriding of Decree 113/2015 of 22 may 2015 approving the Regulation of holiday rentals in the canarian islands. This means 2 things. WE ARE BACK TO THE SAME SITUATION BEFORE THE ISSUING OF THE DECREE IN MAY, holiday rentals cannot be considered illegal but they are non-legal, that is to say : since the Decreeregulating holiday rentals has been overridden , the activity of holidayrenting lacks legal regulation in the moment, but because of this it is impossible to start a sanctioning process and those allready started will be cancelled.
The canarian government has announced that they will issue a modification of the decree, but warning it will not imply a direct increase in the number of holiday tentals they will allow.

SO TO ALL THE LAWYERS , REAL ESTATE AGENTS ETC ETC WHO ASKED MONEY TO GET THE LICENCE , PLEASE STOP LYING TO THE NORMAL PEOPLE. And to all you who didnt listen and paid these 450 or more euros, i am sorry.
The battle is won, but the war hasnt ended yet. Will keep u
you updated as much as I can.

After this first good news ! There is no law in the moment , everybody must look well where they own a place. If it is on a turistical complex ( for example in caleta de fuste Villa florida, Puerto del sol etc) renting out to tourists in the future will be probably possible. Big villa owners ( golf course ) can ask for a license (Vv) as a touristic Villa. If you have an appartment on a residential complex (Gaudi, Bahia Sol etc) first you must make sure your Comunidad agrees all you can rent to tourists. Remember that if you have the licence you are a business, which means paying taxes , account costs, etc etc. Please guys be sure of what you are all doing. I will try to have you informed. If there is anybody interested in having a meeting together just let me know.
