In the last topic we talked you about a new opportunity for the elections in may in our municipality of Antigua. Alltough we did find a lot of serious people interested in our project, we are not going to present ourselves in these elections. We are too serious just to make a list of 20 persons to quickly. Which doesn, t mean we dont want you to vote. All the contrary, please vote vote and again vote this year in may. Let the voice off the foreigners hear more then ever. For the people who are not on the votinglist ( Senso in spanish) , there is a last opportunity to get on the list. Between the 6th and 13th of April , please go to your local townhall. The one in el Castillo is better because they speak english and ask to get on the list. Ore call 901101900 . Please vote and let them know we are a lot of us. Ps we will keep you updated about all the political partys .
It would be good to have unbiased resumes of the main parties, in English, so that we can make considered decisions on who to vote for. If you can do that for us you'll probably get my vote when you do put forward your own candidates!

I've only been waiting for 10 years, all other Politicians canvassing at my gate have promised this, but have not come up with the goods >:(

We are talking about the elections of the municipality of Antigua, not the Cabildo which is all the island. In the last elections there were 11 partys, which will be the same more or less this year. Important is that we show these partys ( all of them with 1 or less foreigners on their list ) that we are with a lot voting. Because thats the only reason they will listen to us during the next 4 years. If we are not a lot voting things will never change. The first party we want to discuss is CC Coalicion Canarias, they are in control now with the mayor Nary in charge. Please dont vote them, they are the ones who gave 12000 euros to el castillo for gardening and 700000 for renewing the swimmingpool in Antigua. They are really old fashioned and with nationalistic ideas, dont think they will have any foreigner on their list. The new man in charge for these election is the ex police David Alberto, nice guy but who saw him in the last 4 years? Dont vote CC.

Lets talk about the second party, AMF which is a small party with a head politician Juan Cabrera from triquivijate hewas the last 4 years in the opposition as a counciler in the townhall. He is ok but his party is too small to get him into power. What we must do is try to vote all for one party to make sure the votes are important. I dont think AMF will really have international thoughts for our coast in antigua. So untill now dont vite for Cc, and eventhough AMF is not wrong i wouldnt vote them because they will note make the difference for caleta and costa de antigua . Dont forget to check , and vote in may !!!
