We have created a new possibility, we are all european sitizens, we are all new in politic, we all need YOU as well. During the next days we will let you know our programm. Very important if you want to change your future is to vote. You have got untill 31 of decembre, at the most untill 14 of january to get your papers done in the Townhall of Caleta de fuste or Antigua. The Coast Coaltion is created by normal people like you and me, we speak and are multilingual. Are you ready to change your future in the next elections in May 2015 , then vote . We will let you know from now on where we will have our meetings etc .

We would like to get all out mr capitan, you as a sitizen of caleta de fuste know exactly what we should change. We foreign people dont have voice at all, why else do you think that no other political party will tellus to vote. It will be an opportunity this next election to change our future. In our programm we want to reinvest 50 % of all our taxes back into the coast zone, have more police , more infrastructures etc etc in caleta de fuste, costa de antigua and las salinas aswell as pozo negro. We cannot just watch and see how the coast pays 80% off all the taxes , and we get 0,01 % back.
More police ?.
If its anything like La Oliva its overrun with them as it is. Any more and you'd be able to have every roundabout fully manned 24/7.
Here in zone, everybody knows this group of guys hanging around. Selling, using, in front of our eyes. We had people hurt etc etc in our residential zone and living exclusively of turism we think the local police must work more and harder. So we as residence and our tourists can walk and live safely in town. No more problems in the coast zone, may sound strange for some of you. But we are sure that having more ( or better functioning ) policemen is good for our zone. We want them to have an english course aswell. ( wouldnt be bad if they speak english)
I know little of the politics involved here, but in a world where cynicism and apathy rule I take my hat off to anyone wiling to stand up and champion those issues they care about. I wasn't aware of the need to register etc, so interesting from that point of view at least!
Exactly gattacca66 thats whats all about. In the coast zone of antigua live 60% of al the residents off our municipal. But we are still controled by all the intown villages. A lot of people still dontvknow anything about the destination of our tax money, sports , schools etc etc . We think it is time for a change, where we will allways respect our majoreran friends. But we cannot go on in this way , where in antigua they spend 700000 sevenhundred thousand euros for a restruction of a swimmingpool while they will spend 13000 yes thirteen thousand euros for all caleta de fuste. We think it is time everybody should vote and be informed in where the money is spend.
Good luck to your group. It should be easy to get people to vote for change in Antigua.

It will be interesting to see what your policies are in more detail.
I agree totally with the Captain re your choice of name though. Couldn't you have come up with something that works in english and spanish? You surely can't get elected on english votes alone and even if you do, how are the spanish going to feel?.
I don't know how long you've been here, but it's all been done before with British candidates, all to no avail. As soon as they were able to, the Majoreros got them out. The one British lady who was in the Town Hall in Caleta was ousted. They want it all, and the EU money, for themselves.
At least they look after their own first. Unlike the UK which puts the needs of everyone else before its own citizens. The canarians have got it right on that score although a little less selfishness wouldn't go amiss.
Just some quick responces to all the questions. Been here since 1998 so was here with Evora, Cazorla, Berriel and now Nary we have seen them all and we all know what they have done for Calet de fuste, Nuevo horizonte ( now Costa de antigua) etc etc. Offcourse we have also Spanish people in our group as well as Italian, english, etc etc. We dont want to have only english voters, we just want them to know they can vote and that it will not take a lot more to get this right. We have seen all the local people in the bigger political parties, but there was never a party made by free people with no political history. WE believe that it is time for a big change and we need all your help. About the name ... we are still in time to change everything. Our idea is to do horizontal politicy where we all together can decide our future.
Ahh, a new party with fresh ideas and one that listens to the public

Everyone that's on the padron will already have received a letter from the Census Office in Gran Canaria "inviting" them of the option to vote in the upcoming elections.
Although, I'm in Puerto del Rosario I recieved mine months ago. To update their records for voting purposes all I had to do was go to the relevant website and enter a CTT code to confirm I wished to vote. Job done in minutes.
Exactly Calculator, there are people who had there form to vote . As you say well to update the lists of people who allready have padron etc. There are an incredible amount of foreigners who still havent done their homework to vote. What we as new political movement would like to achieve is tonhave as many residents to vote. We believe that the part of non voters of the last elections was too big. Thats why from small villages as agua de buyes and valles de ortega , there are more people voting then from caleta de fuste. If we could change this strange phenomen , we could also change the power in the town hall and finally achieve the right investments in the right places. Never forgetting the inside of the municipal.
You need to change your name, as a party that looks as if it is only representing the Coast gives a bad impression; and the abbreviation of C:C for Coast Coalition is the same as the present ruling party the C.C. (Coalicion Canaria).
I agree that people should make sure that they are registered to vote for the elections coming up in May 2015, and that whoever wins will ensure that fair spending is made on all parts of the Municipality.

You don't need to actually win, it's sometimes enough to be a political force (see how pensioners are treated by politicians in the UK compared to the youth). I'm not a lover of politics based on nationalistic divisions, of course there are no 'natives' in Fuerte; the only difference is the length of time a family has lived there.
Many years ago I was talking to a hotelier in Greece, the 'tourist police' were involved in ensuring hotel standards etc were maintained rather than booking holidaymakers for minor infringements. They saw the value in making sure that tourists were made welcome, a much better emphasis.
Captain sencible, we are working on the name which is here on this english forum Coast Coalition but in spanish it is CDC Coalicion De la Costa . As said yesterday we are open to every other name , must be spanish. Tomorrow we are going to start with a first reunion with english people. I agree, more of an open policy would be good. It all seems rather "cloak and dagger" at the moment, and is there not another "new" party also being formed called PA? I think. Surely this will become an overload situation - maybe joining forces and a meeting of minds could be fruitful if you can find some common ground.
That's what happened at the last elections Emmi - the vote was split between many smaller parties, so the bigger political parties were successful.
One party that stands up to the CC, PP etc would be more successful. A few hundred votes are so important in the local Antigua election.

Today we found out that the time to register to vote is less then we tought . You have time till the 30th of decembre to write urself in the senso. Which means from today the main thing is that everybody must do this paperwork and go to the local townhall in caleta de fuste. We will give to as much possible people these papers. Today we started our first reunions and within no time everybody who lives here will find outwho we are and what we want with this action of the residents of the coast. Captain sencible you now have my telnumber and i would like to meet you tomorrow when you can. Anyhow the main conclusion of todays reunions is that we all have the same fellings..ITS TIME FOR A BIG CHANGE.
